Sharon Thompson serves on various community organizations in Wayne County. Currently she collaborates with NC DHHS in the Children and Youth Branch as a Peer to Peer Leadership Trainer. Previously, she served as Co-chair for Innovative Approaches Steering Committee in Wayne County as well as having served as the Co-chair of the Autism Society of Wayne County, Secretary & Treasurer of the Arc of Wayne County and Secretary for Academic Abundance. She is a member of the Military Affairs Committee with the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce and serves as an Ambassador with the Chamber.
