School leaders are acutely aware of the mental health challenges facing students and their families, teachers and administrators, and themselves. Amid what is being called a mental health crisis in schools, watch on-demand as we welcome Caroline Poland for a discussion on mental health and school leadership.

Caroline is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional, and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She is also trained in EMDR therapy, a form of therapy designed for those who experience distress around traumatic memories and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Over the last several years, Caroline developed a series of mental health talks geared towards school leaders and educators. In this discussion, she'll cover the biology of trauma, how this impacts learning in the classroom, principles of a Trauma-Informed Classroom, and Compassion Fatigue and Secondary Traumatic Stress for Educators.
